Kevin Roberts said they’re in the process of a second American Revolution, one “which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.”
That’s wrong on all counts.
They drew first blood on January 6th. As to their messaging about this being a second American Revolution…? That’s bullshit as well. Originally, they thought they had nailed the messaging when they referred to their efforts to undermine & subvert democracy as a second Civil War. They even had T-Shirts and hoodies made. There was a little confusion as they tried to mix in patriotic elements recalling the original American Revolution (“Today is 1776!”), but they got their message through to their faithful fodder.
Eventually, someone realized that they didn’t quite nail the right messaging and optics, however, when it was pointed out that they lost the first Civil War. Badly. So, they’ve shifted gears — after all, nobody’s held the leaders, funders, enablers, and pundits accountable yet — and rebranded. This is now a second American Revolution, full stop.
They’ve posted their plans and manifestos — just like good terrorists and lunatics. Agenda 47 and Project 2025.
If nothing else manages to breach the national vapor-lock enconmpassing our media, these at least should provide tinder that we can use to light a virtual/metaphorical fire on the political battlefield, beneath the feet of the lackluster traditional media.
We cannot allow Trump and his Reich-wing forces to regain power. We must win this election decisively, and apply the full force of a House and Senate majority toward forcing — at long last — accountability across the board, in and out of government. In and out of Congress.
This type of horror can never again get this close to taking control of our nation. The death, destruction, and devastation would be unfathomable.
