Kossack Ice Blue is trying to live on disability in Scott Walker’s Wisconsin. The Powers That Be there have decided that her septic system is no longer up to code even though she hasn’t had any problems with it. It not only has to be replaced before Spring (this is Wisconsin remember where the ground freezes hard as the underlying rock during the winter) but the local contractors require 100% up front before taking the job. (Understandable in Walker’s Wisconsin where people pay half, get the work done, then stiff the contractor for the rest.)
After Ice Blue got a decent estimate of $4,500 we convinced her to open a gofundme and allow us to do Community Fundraisers for her. So far between the gofundme and PayPal we’ve raised just over half. She’s got the month of October at the least to get the work done. Global Weirding being what it is, ground freeze could come any time thereafter.
