Dakota Access pipeline; US Army Veterans Return To Standing Rock, To Form Human Shield-theguardian / Sam Levin in Cannon Ball, North Dakota Saturday February 11 2017
x YouTube VideoWhen the news broke about the Army Corps granting the DAPL easement I rushed to write this diary. Army Corps Grants Easement To Dakota Access. March On Washington DC, For Standing Rock Sioux 3/10.
This story has grown and will continue to grow. I found out so much more information, that I updated the diary.
I would have just re-published it, except, it got 10 facebook shares and I’m not sure, if they would lose the page if I re-publish, or not.
Decided to write, an update diary. Couldn’t control myself before I knew it, turned into, another diary.
This could become a habit. I get tons of new info every day. Can’t fool anyone any more, with the instant mass communication. I have so much info there, couldn’t write any more anyway.
A Million; Small Acts Of Rebellion, has always been my philosophy of life, being a rebel.
This week, our voices were ignored. The Army Corps of Engineers is moving forward with the construction of the pipeline without completing an environmental impact statement, putting the drinking water of millions of people at risk of contamination. The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and Earthjustice remain undaunted in our commitment to challenge the easement in court.
Donald Trump is saying that no one is calling to complain about his approval of pipelines. He is forgetting to mention that the phones are not on and that people can't call.
Despite the outpouring of public support for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the strong opposition to the Dakota Access Pipeline, the president announced yesterday that he had not received “one call from anybody” speaking out against the pipeline.
The White House comment line is currently closed, so tweet, leave a Facebook message, or add your name to the list of people who oppose this pipeline. Let Mr Trump know, that we will not back down and we will not be ignored.
Please send this video to the White House by tweeting @POTUS and @RealDonaldTrump telling them to #turnonthephone / EarthJustice

x YouTube Video Published on Feb 8, 2017 democracynow.org - On Tuesday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said Tuesday it will green light the final phase of construction of the pipeline. Amnesty International called the announcement," an unlawful and appalling violation of human rights." In recent months, police have launched an escalating and violent crackdown against the resistance at Standing Rock. Last week, more than 70 people were arrested after militarized police raided a new resistance camp set up on historic Sioux treaty land. Among those arrested was award-winning Pueblo journalist Jenni Monet, who was on assignment for Indian Country Media Network. x Embedded Content x Embedded Content
