Call the reinforcements, 

BFSkinner’s in-hospital doctor is calling reinforcements to see BF in his room in the step-down unit: Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, ENT, GI, Immunology. Maybe I missed one. 

BFSkinner may have an autoimmune problem

His two antibiotics have been discontinued because they were ineffective, but he continues on a steroid. He has inflammation of the lungs, which might reflect an autoimmune problem. Crohn disease does that sometimes.

and is unhurt after a fall, 

BFSkinner got up to go to the bathroom today, he got very weak, his blood oxygen level plummeted, and he fell on his back, apparently sustaining no permanent damage. They gave him oxygen for several hours after the fall, which he called a “rough spell.”

so we wait

The specialists are supposed to see BFSkinner in the next 24 hours. It’s a rule. We wait now for tests, cultures, results, and diagnoses.

and send thoughts and prayers. 

In the meantime, you know what to do, and you know how much he appreciates your support. I can hear that appreciation of you in his voice; your love lifts him.
