For those of you who were at NN18 in New Orleans, you saw me in total meltdown mode regarding my ability to broadcast for NetrootsRadio. The previous Sunday, I managed to damage the display on my MacBook Pro which required a complete replacement of the display.
Yes, I was peeved at myself for damaging it, and flipping out because I didn’t (and still don’t have the money to ransom it back from Apple.

I wasn’t too upset, as I had backup in a little ASUS netbook running Ubuntu. And my 2013 rig: my iPhone and iPad. So I packed it al up and headed off to NN19. Unpacked, got online, and to my horror and despair - yes, despair, my hardware, a YAMAHA MG10XU mixer, wasn’t being recognized and the essential driver needed to have the hardware work. I’m pretty sure my meltdown is one that made the rounds. Anyway, Tory, the Radio Row Wrangling Roustabout, came to my rescue and loaned me her macbook Air so I could do my job. For that I am eternally grateful.
Earlier this week, the ASUS went the way of all mechanical things and up and died. It’s deader than Vaudeville. Which is now a major problem for me, as without my Mac, I am in serious job jeopardy, as I can’t do my job training on my tablet. Or my iPhone.
