This is a different kind of fundraiser. I’m looking for ongoing support through pledges to my Patreon page. Now, I’ve been trying to finish this diary for six months, but I’d get stuck every time I try to explain … until I realized that the very best explanation is in this little video, anchored by my official Spokescat, LuvLee. It’s less than two minutes, so why not take a look at it (and if you like, enjoy the cute musical background), and then we’ll talk some more ;)

What LuvLee Said is essentially this: Her Meowmy (that’s me!) has a small business that is our major source of support. And a major part of the business is — to use my favorite tag line — Making beautiful things that make people happy. But because sales are uneven, as is often the case, I have to turn to other work types when I can get them (which is rare) or appeal to the community for fund raising (which has been very generous, but I’m sure you’ll understand that I’d like to be more self-sustaining). All of this takes its toll and takes me away from making things. Having a sustainable income would make life a lot easier, and I could make even more stuff to make more people happy. That’s where my Patreon page comes in — but, since LuvLee is a Cat, she doesn’t know about all the whys and wherefores of Patreon and what it can do for me and you. She only knows that it’s a good thing — or, it will be when it gets funded. So, please keep reading and I’ll tell you how it works.
